Claude connector

Connect Claude web or desktop to your OnRamp project to explore recorded traffic, onboarding conversion, and funnel drop-off. Supported Claude clients show interactive traffic and funnel charts alongside the answers.

Before connecting

You need an OnRamp account with access to a project. Sign in to OnRamp with Google or GitHub. Management access requires an OnRamp organization owner or admin.

Add OnRamp

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors → Add connector → Add custom connector.
  2. Enter OnRamp as the name and https://getonramp.dev/api/mcp as the server URL.
  3. Choose Sign in now and Use your own OAuth client.
  4. Enter onramp-claude as the OAuth client ID. Leave the client secret blank.
  5. Add the connector and click Connect. Sign in to OnRamp and choose a project on the consent screen. Review the access requested before approving.
  6. Enable OnRamp in a new Claude conversation and ask which project is connected.

For Team and Enterprise workspaces, the organization administrator may need to enable custom connectors first. The connector is not currently listed in Claude's public directory; use the custom connector setup above.

Ask about your project

  • “Show traffic for my project for the last seven days.”
  • “Where do users drop off in my onboarding funnel?”
  • “Compare conversion this week and last week, including sample counts.”

Analytics requests cover at most 93 days each. State the date range and timezone when comparing results with the OnRamp dashboard. Empty results mean there is no matching recorded data; they do not establish that tracking is complete.

Permissions and interactive views

A read connection exposes five tools: project discovery, funnel definitions, aggregate traffic, funnel analytics, and event conversion. Traffic and funnel tools can show interactive charts.

For management access, add a custom connector with server URL https://getonramp.dev/api/mcp?access=manage, using the same OAuth client ID. An owner or admin must approve the requested management access and project selection. That grant adds product and revenue analytics, individual user timelines and journey maps, and configuration tools for projects, funnels, segments, ingestion keys, and supported integrations. It does not allow changing team membership or billing plans. Saving an existing funnel or segment replaces its complete steps or filters.

The project selection and granted permissions apply to every tool call and chart refresh. A read connection does not gain management tools automatically. Reconnect and review a new consent request to change access.

Disconnect and troubleshoot

Access expires after 30 days. Reconnect after expiry. To revoke an OnRamp credential, open Team → Agent tokens and revoke the token labelled Claude. You can also disconnect the connector in Claude.

If Claude reports that automatic registration is unsupported, use the predefined OAuth client ID above. For an invalid connection request, restart from Claude's connector settings rather than reusing an old authorization link. If charts do not appear, enable the connector in a new conversation and check that your Claude client supports interactive connectors.
