Filters and segments

Filters narrow a report to a specific audience. Saved segments let you reuse that audience across the dashboard and through the CLI or Management API.

Available filters

Filter by location, platform, browser, OS, app version, device, referrer, source, medium, campaign, keyword, attribution channel, page, entry page, exit link, and custom event properties.

Custom property filters support equals, does not equal, contains, greater than, less than, is set, and is not set. You can combine up to ten property conditions.

Saved segments

Create reusable segments in Settings → Segments or with the CLI/API. A segment changes the view, not your raw event data. Use names that describe the question, such as “iOS trial users” or “Paid Google traffic”.

A useful pattern

Filter a funnel to a campaign, then compare it with the unfiltered funnel. If the gap is concentrated in one platform or app version, inspect Sessions before changing the entire onboarding flow.
